Forest Dunn "The fastest man out of Cornwall on two wheels"
Forest's passion for two wheels began at an early age with a promising start in 4x mountain bike racing , regularly giving future British champions a run for their money. Unfortunately an end to local competitions meant he was unable to compete at such a high level . A keen cyclist he continued to ride well socially and for pleasure , something he has worked into his current fitness regime regularly cycling over 50 miles .
Entry into Motorcycling Racing
After a couple of years of road riding - In 2011 Forest took part in his first TRACKDAY at Brands Hatch Circuit in Kent on his trusty Suzuki GSXR-750 , quickly taking to the riding style needed he was lapping faster than much more experienced riders on higher quality machinery .The next 12 months was spent gaining more experience at a wide variety of the UK's Circuits . In 2012 Forest improved further and having shown great promise at the Chris Walker race school under the tuition of British Supersport Champion Ben Wilson he upgraded to a race prepared GSXR-1000 having outgrown his now aging road bike.
2013
The 29th March 2013 saw Forest enter his first Event - The No Limits Racing Powerbike races at Snetterton Circuit under the Team No Hope banner ( a joke between friends ) , he showed great pace through all of the practice sessions and put his GSXR1000 2nd on the grid . Both races were a great battle with the other bright young prospect competing Carl Simpson. Forest claimed victory in both races taking the 'Double' in style.
Forest continued to improve in both speed and experience throughout the year competing in televised events at - Thundersport GB , HOTTRAX and NGRRC regularly appearing on the podium in the newcomers class and receiving the "man of the meeting" at Anglesey
2014
For 2014 Forest had a new weapon - A Kawasaki NINJA ZX-10R and a new goal - to gain his ACU national licence and compete in a British Superbike event by the end of the season : a very serious challenge in only his 2nd year of racing. The early part of the season was difficult after the winter break and with a new bike to learn Forest took small steps and progressively improved lap times alongside his feeling on the bike. A wildcard appearance at the Knockhill Round of the Scottish superbikes was a turning point with a great result at a circuit he'd never seen gaining him great praise from both the television commentators and local fans . This new found confidence in the bike led to many great results and with it his National licence , he even caused a stir by putting his bike on the front row in the wet at Cadwell Park ahead of the championships front runners. Now with his national licence he could attempt to qualify which he did and race at a British superbike event at Thruxton in Hampshire his closest round 2 months earlier than he had targeted then at Donnington Park GP and again at the season finale at the iconic Brands Hatch circuit in Kent . 2014 also saw Forest compete in his first Road Race - The GOLD CUP at Oliver's Mount . Great results again brought Forest great praise from television commentators and his more experienced piers this filled him with a desire to continue road racing and to eventually compete in the Isle of Man TT
2015
The aim for 2015 was to compete at the Northwest 200 International Road Race.
With this is mind Forest took his off season training to a new level incorporating Sprint Cycling , running and boxing into an already rigourous workout routine and headed off to the British Superbike Test at Cartagena in Spain with championship regulars Jones Dorling Racing feeling fitter and more focused than ever , the 4 day test was a great success and ended with a great set up on the bike ready for the British Superbike season opener at Donington Park . Several tecnical issues ment that the weekend did not go totally to plan but a calm head and perseverance meant he got the results needed to get his International Road Racing licence and an entry for the Nortwest 200
.
THE NORTHWEST 200 INTERNATIONAL ROAD RACE
Seen as road racing's pre TT event the Northwest 200 is a packed field of factory backed world class road racers such as John Mcguiness and Guy Martin . As it was his first time at 'THE TRIANGLE" circuit Forest and the other newcomers were given a session of guided laps to roughly learn the 9 mile circuit before heading out for the events first practice sessions. The weeks practice and qualifying sessions were thworted by both the weather and an unusual amount of accidents meaning tracktime was at a minumum , Forest only competed a total of 15 laps before the racing started . Again the weather came into play with constant delays and racing being red flagged due to sudden changes in conditions , when racing did finally commence Forest showed great skill and focus finishing 20th postion in both the superbike and superstock races surrounded by the worlds best and even recorded the fastest top speed by a new comer at 187mph ( on a bumpy road approching a 90 degree bend )
After a very succesfull Northwest 200 Forest carried the momentum on and achieved great results at both Castle Combe and Thruxton including 6 top 5 finishes and a podium .
We are now looking forward to a very bright and prospirous 2016
